The article highlights specifics trends of agri-industrial production of the republic, assessment of foreign trade turnover, including countries of the EAEC and Central Asia - the main partners of Kazakhstan on agricultural market. The structure of trade with these regions and overall impact of imported products flows on national food products market has been considered.

The article considers the issues concerning the activities of the World Trade Organization, Uruguay Agreement on Agriculture, domestic support, average level of tariff protection of agricul- tural and food products, aims of State agricultural policy, analysis of grain production in the Republic of Kazakhstan and its competitiveness on global markets.

The article highlights theoretical aspects of modernization of agri-industrial complex - character- istics and innovation types, specifics of innovation activity in agri-industrial sector. The basic di- rections of modernization of agri-industrial sector have been outlined. Proposals on introduction of innovations in AIC of Kazakhstan have been developed.

Innovative processes in agri-industrial sector, factors restricting their development have been reflected. The directions of innovation activity and innovation commercialization have been determined.

Current level of development of agricultural sector of Kyrgyzstan has been analyzed. The evaluation of food security has been conducted. The reasons for low competitiveness of na- tional agri-food sector have been revealed. Regional factors of increasing competitiveness of in- dustry in context of expansion of integration processes have been justified.

The authors note that the increase of competitiveness of agriculture to most effectively meet the growing demands in production sector is of particular relevance. The article deals with different approaches to determining the competitiveness of agricultural sector. Current trends in the de- velopment of agricultural sector of Kazakhstan have been analyzed.

The paper describes economic efficiency of intensification of agriculture as indicator of increas- ing production volume per unit of land area, reduction of labor costs per production unit. It is noted that the increase of the efficiency of agricultural sector requires not only factors associa t- ed with the development of productive forces, but also the improvement of economic relations.

The resource potential of agro-industrial complex, factors of formation, reproduction and efficient use, its components in agriculture of the West Kazakhstan region for the past three years and re- sults of application have been presented.

Сovers the main issues of grain sector in Kazakhstan in terms of integration of the CIS states within the Eurasian Economic Commonwealth; priorities of common grain policy in the framework of the EAEC have been determined; proposals on formation of a mechanism of implementation of joint Eurasian integration on grain market have been presented.

The analysis of current state of sugar beet production plays an important role in ensuring raw ma- terial independence and enhancing the competitiveness of domestic production of sugar. Based on the analysis the strategy and tactics of enterprise has been developed, major trends and pat- terns of development of existing relationships in sugar industry have been outlined, plans and management decisions have been justified, implementation has been monitored, results of ac- tivities of companies- producers of beet and sugar have been evaluated- as the authors note.

The evaluation of poultry industry development in the Republic of Kazakhstan, in particular egg production by years and by region of the country has been presented. It was found that egg production has considerable potential in the country.

The article highlights the issues of small farms, the necessity of joining them into agricultural cooperatives, benefits of this process for small farmers, new provisions of the draft of the Law "On Agricultural Cooperation" and expected results.

The article describes the advantages of integration in Eurasian Economic Commonwealth con- tributing to the further development of mutually beneficial trade cooperation with other countries. Regional economic integration provides new business opportunities and employment growth.

The article includes the analysis of unsustainable agricultural development in Kyrgyzstan. It re- veals predominantly small-farm structure of agricultural production, factors of insufficient devel- opment of agricultural cooperation, summarizes positive experience of the development of coop- eratives in the country and regions, justification of the importance and need for accelerated de- velopment of cooperation in the sector.

The article highlights the reasons for low efficiency of large grain companies implementing re- source saving technologies. Evaluation of their performance has revealed low level of technical equipment of large and medium-sized enterprises of the northern region of the country which is due to the outdated machinery in machinery- tractor park, lack of inflow of investment resources. The directions of attraction of financial resources due to leasing, implementation of projects on modernization of existing production capacities.

The article includes the analysis of current level of development of sugar beet production in Kyr- gyzstan, reveals factors of decline in production and processing of sugar beets. High depend- ence on imported sugar consumption in the country has been revealed. In view of deepening of integration ties the directions of the effective use of potential of traditional AIC branch have been justified.
