ПРОБЛЕМЫ РАЗВИТИЯ МОНОГОРОДОВ В РЕСПУБЛИКЕ КАЗАХСТАН

The issues of development of mono-towns located on the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan, grouped according to the sector structure, the profile direction, the potential for eco-nomic development have been considered. The analysis of current situation in the regions has been presented. On the basis of statistical data, the issues of housing and communal services, social infrastructure and transport have been explored. The method of SWOT analysis was used to show the situation in single-industry cities, where large city-forming enterprises of the republic are concentrated. The experience of foreign countries: the USA, Great Britain, Germany on crea-tion of single-industry cities has been presented. The State policy in the field of mono-profile cit-ies has been analyzed.
