Выявлены проблемы отрасли животноводства и показаны пути их решения. Рассмотрен механизм объединения субъектов производства животноводческой продукции в региональный кластер мясной специализации в одном из регионов Республики Казахстан - Акмолинской области. Представлены основные результаты обзора зарубежной и отечественной литературы, а также собственные исследования авторов. Изучение мирового опыта кластеризации позволило дать определение понятия «региональный кластер», описать модели кластеров, предлагаемых отечественными и зарубежными учеными.

This paper describes the problems of livestock production branch and their solutions. Discusses the mechanism of joining of livestock production entities into regional meat specialization cluster in one of the regions of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Akmola region. It includes main results of the review of foreign and domestic literature and authors own research. Research on global experience of clustering enabled to define the concept of "regional cluster", describe cluster models offered by domestic and foreign scientists.
